Now that HDR is the thing to do these days, I'm bracketing all my shots ... as these are in RAW, my pic's now take up 3 times more space on my pc That'd be ok if I could get a real decent pic out of each set of 3, but the problem I've been having is that the overexposed shot always comes out blurred (slower shutter speed) so I only end up with 2 usables ones anyway Admittedly that's hand-held, but sometimes they are hand-held, aren't they.

Not the best way but have you tried creating one out of a single RAW file.

Yes I did that way first P-E, not that impressed, so decided to try bracketing instead, despite the drawbacks I mentioned. Took some more church shots yesterday, used my tripod this time so will see how I fare with some of those

Well they say bracketed is best .........what software are you using to create your HDR's?

Photomatix + Easy HDR. Trying to decide which I like better ... Easy HDR is much cheaper, so if it's as good ...

I have been taking four shots in manual mode, and making the shutter changes by hand, I have a big ole tripod, so It works good,,the difference is I start at a lower underexposed and then move my way up the exposure latter until I get midrange overexspose. My highlights have been less and the whole bANANA is alittle easyer to tame, of course, for me it could be another faze,,,,,will post a pick soon, I like blacks in a picture and there is alot of it to go around. But there is deeper color.
