How do I remove the stripe in this photo caused by a chainlink fence ?

Wirecutters.

Very difficult because the stripe blurs into the rest and goes right across the bird. You could try some selective dodging or cloning on the grass.

P.S. Image needs to be <300kB to display in the post.

Hi Chris,
I learned from lost causes, which made me try this, the bird was pretty easy with a new layer changed to color, pick a color from the bird and paint over the feathers with the paint brush. The grass was harder because it is blurred worst then the bird in the fact that it is lost, so Silky said to clone which I did, then I colored the grass a different darker green on a new layer with the mode again changed to color. You can then go about doing any other adjustments you like to make the bird look a little better.

Remember to use the eraser tool on the color mode layers to keep color out of unwanted areas.
