Re: Lightzone3

I need to give this a proper trial. I dabbled a while ago and didn't give it a fair chance. It seems potentially very good, especially if you're into the Ansel Adams 'Zone System' which is a brilliant way of adjusting tones once you learn it.

Thanks for posting, and I'll move this into the Photo Manipulation forum where info on photo editors tends to lurk.

Re: Lightzone3

Yup I got the trial of this and I have to say I think it's a very inventive and well thought out way of looking at the tones in an image, even if you're not familiar with the Zone system.

Re: Lightzone3

used it a couple of months ago to see how it worked with my IR work. It handled it quite good, I really liked the dynamic range adjustment. But I have been working now with Aperture as I have had it sence it first came out. Being a PS devotee it is hard to move to other raw converters. DxO also in the mix as it works quite well also, just have to make up my mind on what to upgrade,,,,can't do them all,,,so I am working quite hard to see which one is better for me..."not very many people here if any talk about processing IR images", this makes it even harder for me as if you don't hear it here,, you don't hear it at all.

I am having fun, thanks for the post emmet'
