Good evening everyone,
I am using paintshop pro version 8.1 what I wan't to do is change my colour pics over to B+W but I wan't them to be hard B+W I wan't to be able to get rid or have control over the midtones. As you can probably guess I am new to digital photography and the digital darkroom. All idea's appreciated. Take care John |

Re: Paintshop Pro B+W Problems..
Long time since I used PSP X, but I think there is a channel mixer which is a good way to start. Check the mono box, and the theory is that the total of the sliders should add up to 100, but 'rules' are there to be broken!

Re: Paintshop Pro B+W Problems..
I am just going out now but had a quick look. I think you need Colors>Adjust>Threshold. You can then set the point at which it decides what is Black and What is to be White. The default is 128. I was using PSP 7 but I am sure it will be similar on your version.
