Photoshop Colour Profiles

I've been trying to save images for the web in PS and the colour image that it produces in the preview window is slightly desaturated, compared to the original file. Does anyone have any ideas why?

I have calibrated my monitor using WiziWYG XP, and saved the colour profile, which I have also specified in the PS colour settings...

Anyone got any ideas to throw into the ring?

TIA

Chris

I think this again is something to do with profiles and how they manage and alter the colours of different types of files. A web picture is likely to be sRGB and you are probably working in RGB, if thats the case some people have found that by converting to lab mode before saving for web should correct the issue.
