Printing Help needed

I often make a watercolour from a local scene and usually print on Matt paper, any advice on printing onto Artists water colour paper. My results have been poor even with increased saturation

Re: Printing Help needed

If the Artists watercolour paper has not been coated for use with inkjet ink then you will lose detail due to ink absorption and spread and loss of colour as ink is dispersed for same reasons.

However, why not experiment with this to achieve a new look to your images?

Les

Re: Printing Help needed

I think Les is right, you need to print on the correct coated paper. Of course you can buy various types of coated "Art" paper which should give you the effect you want. Try paper by Permajet or Hahnemuhle both sell a Fine Art Test Pack with a selection of A4 sheets to try. You may have to make small colour adjustments for this paper. Unfortunately, good quality Fine Art paper is not cheap so I only use it occassionally.
