Sketch like effects
Hi all,
New to this community, photography and photos is my passion. I am an amature though.  I have some old photos of family and wanted to give a sketch effect to them (the ones u get in malls through kiosks!!) i tried using some tricks (googled) in PS2 but they dont look as good as they should. anyone knows the work around pl let me know tx |

 Fangman has done some of this work. An example is here. I don't know if he has done a tutorial, I'll have a look and post a link if he has. |

Hello, Photoshop (from older versions like 7 to the newsest cs3) has several filters which are easily customisable along the lines of what you are looking for, such as....graphic pen/photocopy/torn edges/crayon etc

This one is not free but very good Sketch master.
but its fairly easy to do it with Photoshop, I'll try to make a tutorial for that today. I'll post it here when I finish it. |

THAT WOULD BE GREAT SOTELO, I WILL BE INTERESTED TO SEE THE RESULTS.
I SENT FANGMAN A PM ASKING HIM HOW HE GOT HIS EFFECT, BUT HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HIM, MAYBE HE IS ON HOLIDAY, OR HE MAY NOT WANT TO GIVE AWAY HIS FORMULA. |

Sorry it took so long but I just haven't had any time to do the tutorial, but I made it an Action wich is a lot faster, I will make the tutorial as soon as I can. meanwhile have fun with this action.
