Re: A try at P-E style HDR with links to try your own

Gave it a whirl - but used no HDR S/W, just PS!

Quality of pics wasn't great - got pixellated result but used Pic 1 and dodged, burned and saturated to get this

I've seen some interesting results from HDR shots but have yet to see anything that really meets my requirement: increase in dynamic range.

I'm certain it'll all happen, just needs some more development. Long term, I'd expect cameras to auto take multiple shots to allow post production selection of light and DOF (the latter's been done, just not on a production model yet)

Re: A try at P-E style HDR with links to try your own

I took the pic's before dark, even has a few dust bunnies. Anywho, the rocks are really pink and the f22 dosen't help. I used a 24mm. The point is there seems to be more tones that don't show and come out in tone mapping. I didn't know how are couldn't figure out how to just put links to download the pic's. I really like the options and the tones you can add just as an adjustment to normal processing of pictures like this where I was 120 miles from home.

Also, The pic's came straight out of raw, with no auto adjustment. I leave my sliders on 0. Sorry about the Quality, I joined to learn better camera control. It was snowing and a 15 degree wind chill and very cloudy. I must have metered wrong. These rocks are cool and I had to stop, thinking they would be a good HDR target.

Hey, no worries, Boofers! Sorry, was referring to the file rather than the photo as filesize is only 44k and could be 200k - this is where quality is suffering

Re: A try at P-E style HDR with links to try your own

No need for sorry, I didn't load the pictures right so you could load them. When sent from home they were respectively 190k. So alittle education on my part would help out sence I love to be shown how it's done here with photo sharing and so forth. I tried incert and then just copy and paste. Dave did it once with 3 links and the pictures were of better quality. My pictures are in my gallery,,,I just get right in there and take it on the chin

I had a go Boofers but as Mark says with the file size been small it's losing some quality.
