Trying to get 1950's look to shot

Seeing as the model was dressed accordingly, thought I would try to get a 1950's look . This was my effort :-



What processing would you do, to get that authentic look ? (apart from cloning out stud )

Here's my effort Dave, I won't explain yet incase you don't like it. Just changed a few things. I considered adding noise but thought the tones were too good to waste:

Agree with Jacks version. But the main problem that tells one this is not 1950's is the hair style.
