1/24th scale projects
I haven't been around much as I've been working on a couple of projects which I'd like to share with you all. They are model kits so I've had to paint and assemble them so they've kept me quiet and out of trouble for a while

Re: 1/24th scale projects
They look good to me, nice and sharp in the right places. Thanks for showing your lighting set up, notes taken

Re: 1/24th scale projects
Nice photos and nice models Dave
You are obviously adept at model making, so what about making up a bit of road or a lay-by or pit lane or something to put the cars into something with more context? Only one thing you did not mention, should you use a high or low heat? |

Re: 1/24th scale projects
Thanks for the comments guys.
Dabhand16 very low heat!!!! For those of you who would like a bit more info on my light setup They are halogeon desk lamps (20w bulbs) The light filters are made from cereal boxes and kitchen paper. They're held together with loads of staples and glue and no sticky backed plastic or sticky tape in sight!!! The filters are held to the lamps by wolfcraft mini grips, these can be found in most good DIY shops Camera was my 350D on apeture priority f6.3 - f32, White balance set to Tungston, ISO 100. Lens were the Sigma 50mm macro and the Sigma 105mm macro. Hope the above is of some help Backgrounds for the models I'll get round to at somepoint in time ![]() |
