2 from this morning
Regent Terrace graveyard in Edinburgh today. Not a great sky but I will revisit as I think there is some really good photos to be had here.I'm annoyed at my crap framing at the top of both photos.A step back,a lower viewpoint or a wider lens required
embarasse .Taken on my 20D and 18-135mm lens ![]() ![]() |

Re: 2 from this morning
Nice treatment on both. Personally, don't find the framing a problem - and might even crop more off the top of the 2nd (down to that horizontal spread of the branches - removing what looks like halo artefacts)

Re: 2 from this morning
Looks like a fantastic place to shoot. Wish I could offer crop advice, but the best advice I can give is don't listen to me. I'd love to see more.

Re: 2 from this morning
Kind words chaps,thanks
.This is a good photo location as its on quite steeply sloping ground, almost terraced, giving lots of angles/viewpoints.The hard part is not what to include in the shot but what to leave out!!.Just between ourselves,as an excercise I added a new sky to this shot : ![]() as the original was totally flat.It is not well done but it gives me [and you fionaB as you are within easy reach ] an idea how it can be with an interesting sky and to go back and do it for real .

Re: 2 from this morning
Water, I deleted that second post for you!
I think these are both superb pictures and the sky in your edited version is really good! I don't think the framing unduly affects either of the shots and the colouring works really well! |

Re: 2 from this morning
You have a set amount of time where you can edit your own posts and ramblings (for typos, spelling etc.) this is set so that any developments in threads are relevant, should someone delete or edit a post after it has had replies it can make the thread or further replies pointless. You can't delete whole posts as that could potentially remove the whole thread (if yours was the first post) and basically cause more trouble than its worth.
Hope that explains it for you ![]() |
