both interesting, but #1 wins for me by breaking loads of rules and still looking great. Love that dark building almost central and the different directions buildings face, and the wee bit of greenery in the background. Also the teasing way you include things like windows and lintels etc on the edge of the frame. Great.

I agree with MB - the roof-lines really make the shot, and it's very interesting - almost an industrial version of Robin Hood's Bay.
