3 monos

Relatively pointless , but just trying out my mono ability, in terms of 'seeing' mono shots, as well as the actual tones. Thoughts, crit etc appreciated





My mum'll kill me for this, it's not a very flattering shot of her at all

Mono can do this for portraits though,show up every wee wrinklle.I like the knife/lemon 'shots.Were these selective focus on the lens or 'blurred' in photoshop?.Anyway,loads of fine detail and range of tones.

Thanks water, too true about showing up detail, especially with the D300 and the macro lens (which is what I used for these, forgot to mention that)...
...which leads on nicely to me answering your question: they were selective focus, I don't think I've ever done blurring like that in photoshop
