Cracking shot, cracking bride
What % of shots do you shoot at weddings without flash, if you don't mind me asking ?

She's a former Miss Scotland, so that explains the good genetics

If you look at Viking Photography - Wedding Photography Examples , all the shots on that page are done using natural light. The one in the bottom right used a reflector to bounce light from the window back onto the front of the little girl and worked out beautifully IMO. If I have to resort to flash it's usually only for posed photographs and I use a couple of SB-800's in wireless mode to provide controlled directional lighting. I have a pair of compact light stands and use either brollies, softboxes or bounced flash from the stands to put the light exactly where I want it. In terms of on-camera fill flash - I avoid it like the plague and only use it in situations where I have no other choice. |
