Acorns

I guess we are all getting a touch of Spring feaver with all of the recent flower shots, so I thought I'd join in. I tried to match the border to the colour of the mid greens (by sampling, not guesswork), but I'm not sure it has worked. No doubt you will tell me!

Re: Acorns

I've seen comments to the effect that it's a good idea to pick a colour, as you've done, but to aim for something that you want highlighted. Here I picked the acorns and kept the amount of colour in the border to a minimum

So, as a variation, rather than a replacement

Border, burned BG

Re: Acorns

Nice one Mark - I like that keyline border, and the burned BG does make the main part of the image stand out. Thanks for that

Re: Acorns

match's very good mark,, I don't have a lot of experience with frames,,it's amazing the change it makes for this picture. I have stayed away from the wider frames, but this makes me want to rethink, as maybe it might work for a select few Graham, I like the simple sturcture of these acorns,,spring is here,,,now only if I can dodge them in the fall....
