Mmmm - isn't Kings College in Cambridge then ???

This one, for me at least is a really good shot Stev - even down to the detail of the two guys standing and looking at the place - seems like they are awestruck and cannot move for trying to take it all in !

The one minor criticism from me would be the main towers being too central ... just off a bit more would have made it perfick ?

Really like this one ... a lot !

TFS ...

Hi Ven
put the other two up now, the colours were great on the day, and i used my boss's 70-300 canon lens, nice piece of kit (had to give it back though-tight git)

Two more great shots Stev ... although I am not sure the parapet/wall in the foreground adds anything - re-visiting them I think, personally it gets in the way on these otherwise lovely pics ? Imo of course ...

critique aside (and what do I know !) a great trio well executed Stev !

BTB - does borrowing the lens make you want one then ?

TFS ...

I like the 2nd shot best, although the chunk of concrete in the foreground spoils it slightly. A lovely view down the river - looks very serene

i agree, too many bloody tourists on the bridge, posing, so i had to move just off it, and got stuck behind a parapet, still the colours are good and it looks rather pleasant.
@Ven, i should say so, i have the 18-55 & 50-200, but to have it all in one lens would be great.

And so it does Stev - using a loan 18-200 Tamron at the mo while waiting for the Nikon version. Although the finish quality of the Tamron is not brilliant the range is phenomenal ! Cannot wait for the proper one ...

Complaining about tourists - and you claim to be Robin Hood's cousin! You should have dropped in for a cuppa up the road at Ely - now there's a real building to photograph. Nice shots and clever not to have to edit out the Japanese. If you paid for car parking in Cambridge you won't be able to afford that lens.

I like number 3 but stonework always gets in the way of the best angles - a bit of cheating with the clone tool?
