Ok, they're not really aliens, but I've always thought they looked a bit alien. We bought these from an exhibition in a local library years ago and they are made from an orange, a satsuma and pear skin, dried, varnished and bound together with copper wire and beads. They are very tactile. I was a bit bored this evening, so got them out of the cupboard to photograph.

Oooo - these are really interesting!

I really want to pick them up, turn them over in my hands and look closely at them. It also makes me wonder how the person that made them came up with such an idea! They are certainly 'different'.
