Re: Amber nectar

I think you're right about the Glenfiddich bottle (although it is of course by far the better drink - but looking at the levels I can see you knew that ). Put your hand over it and the photo really sharpens up composition wise. With the two bottles there my eyes don't really know which one to settle on and kind of wander endlessly between the two.

Lighting on the Morgans' bottle is gorgeous though and the background is perfectly blown out of focus. I even like the grapes (if that's what they are) peeking in at the r/hand side to give a little bit more interest.

Overall

Re: Amber nectar

If those bottles were full when you started I thing you did a very good job with that picture. It even looks straight in the frame . Love the background colour with the Morgans bottle.

I agree about the Glenfiddich bottle and perhaps the glass could have been slightly more infocus.

Re: Amber nectar

I rather like the fact that the glass is out of focus. It makes the bottle the main subject and ensures that attention is not drawn away from the beautifully crisp writing. But I guess I'm looking at it as I would a product advertising picture rather than as an 'art' picture.

Re: Amber nectar

Nice shot.

Whisky and coke/lemonade is my tipple although I'm told I wouldn't get away with that up in Scotland.
