Ants.....
Hi All
, Comments & Crits welcome. Seeing Marcins efforts I thought I'd share some of mine. Still not perfect but hopefully getting there. ![]() Marcin Here's what you can expect to get with DOF on that Canon you may soon be getting. Max aperture on lens I think is F22, but I've not used them here. Though did use flash. 100mm F2.8 Lens at F13 on 10D Cannon (They're pulling a small dead froglet). ![]() 100mm F2.8 Lens at F16 on Film EoS3 (Velvia 50). ![]() 100mm F2.8 Lens at F13 with x2 Convertor on 10D Cannon ![]() MPE-65mm Lens at F16 (it's max DOF) at about 2x Magnification.

Re: Ants.....
This swirl about ants has me in a knot. I have wood ants down the hill from my house. Haven't pictured them yet, this is amazing stuff you put up. like #3 as I know what the ants like, sweets for the ants off those little buggers. Fantastic shots.

Re: Ants.....
Impressive stuff Chrisa!
I love the detail of the 'satin belts' on the ants in Nos 1 and 2 ![]() I can't quite decide if I want to know what the other creatures are in the third... |

Re: Ants.....
Thanks all for the comments.
Yes they are aphids ( blackfly being a common name for them ). Hey Boofers, give it a go. It's not easy mind, be prepared for a lot of misses, but persist and you'll get something that will be pleasing. Just watch out for bites! |
