I have a friend who comes down here once a year or so who thinks I photoshop these skies in.

Edit: On close scrutiny, you're right Jack, but they are from almost exactly the same viewpoint + within minutes/seconds of each other, as can be seen by the clouds.

The first one is the Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS @ f11 and 70mm. Converted in CS3 to a high contrast almost IR looking monotone.

The color shot is the Canon 24-70mm @f8 fl 24mm. Taken within several minutes of each other from about the same place.

These were my final test shots on the new gear I got about a week ago. Tough test in the desert heat and light.

This area is literally in my back yard. I can be lazy and not have to walk any further than 10 feet from my car if you can drive on a road that looks like this.
