This is my third attempt at inserting a link to an external site and it now works. For YouTube or Photodex

Travelling home one day I saw an overturned lorry. I nipped home for my camera gear and photographed the recovery team over about 4 hours.

It may be just me, but when I click on the link I'm told that I need an additional plug-in to view the video - x-photodex-presenter - which is not available. I'm using Firefox on Linux, so other people may be OK.

Sorry about that I tried to upload it to Youtube but the file is too big So I had to put it on Photodex.

Has anyonoe been able to view it?

Try google video, the file sizes are bigger on there

I don't know why but uploading to Goolge was taking forever. So I worked on shortening my AV file. I had been saving the original mpeg at too high a quality. I reduced the quality and it then worked in YouTube.

A working version will appear shortly.

It is possible to go to the Photodes web site and download a viewer. The quality is much better than YouTube.

Maybe I can see as I am always logged in to Photodex - the plug in they refer to I think is a one off, once installed you dont need to go there again.

Thank you for the feed back. I have now figured out how to get the YouTube version working. YouTube told me that the url began "http://uk." etc in fact it should be "http://www." etc. If anyone else has trouble this may be the problem.

I shall continue to post both YouTube and Photodex versions as the photodex versions are much better quality for those who have downloded their software.

Bill - Glad you got it sorted.

Just for information, the Photodex plugin can be downloaded from their website, but it's an .exe file that works only with Windows. I can't see a Mac or Linux version.

I checked with Photodex about a Mac version and their reply was, "Unfortunately there is not a Mac presenter at this time."
