Baby fern

Hi
I took this one today with the extension tubes - and although its not perfect, i like bits of it and am now on the look out for a macro lens. C & C welcome! My next pic is of a bug who just kept posing and posing - he was 5 mm long and I know the picture is rubbish - I just want to know what it was! He had blue dots on his wings...

Whaaat? No insect specialists here? Sheesh - he was a great bug!

I love ferns, try shooting up from the bottom to the sky where you can get the blue background. Works good later in the day with enough light to light the underside. Don't know what your bug is, goodness knows I've seen a few with the focus off like that, it just drives you that much harder to adjust. Like your fern.

Hi Nellie....I also would be interested to find out what this insct is. We have loads in the field behind our house.
