Bad Case of the Jaggies
Looked out the window this morning and saw this moth ending it's unfolding of the wings. One wing still had one little fold in it. By the time I was out at the top of a ladder
,hanging , shaking, , I decided that I need a pano, 13 shot at or very near 1:1 on my 100mm shot at f11 and forced to shoot at 1/250s up in the shadow. What do you think, funny looking jaggies?: It's Marcin's fault.![]() [IMG] [/IMG] |

Re: Bad Case of the Jaggies
Er.....I think that looks very odd indeed. I mean, I like what I see, but then it's all attacked by these white edges where there's no more image!!

"The moth did it but we blame Marcin" will be engraved on your tombstone (underneath that ladder!)

Re: Bad Case of the Jaggies
Is this what happens to your telephoto habits ?
With my macro lens I keep wanting to shoot the whole thing,,maybe I needed about 20 more shots,,PS would photomerge them and I would have the greatest macro picture of all time..![]() |

Re: Bad Case of the Jaggies
Hi fgates,
there are 13 macro shots at 1:1 placed along a route of the moth. I picked these out of a bunch and sent to photomerge in photoshop. This is what it spit out. If I had taken shots to make a good merge I would have panned across a flat plane and sent those to photomerge and had a nice panorama. I just couldn't figure for the life of me how to chop one out of this shot. Don't tell any body,,it was for fun. ![]() |

Re: Bad Case of the Jaggies
Hi Boofers, I was mostly teasing. You would have needed a whole lot more pictures to fill the frame, and you'd have probably have run out of memory. I still think that its a wierd picture
Its good to experiment, and fun to share. |
