bah!! which to pick!!? please help (urgent!)
hi me and my friends are picking a photo of another friend to give to him for his christmas present.
I took the shot, and we are arguing which photo to pick to print and enlarge, frame it and give it to him as a nice present. there's 1.  and then there's 2.  yes they're both abit soft  but i personally choose number 1 for the lighting and angle, personally think it'd look better enlarged, a big frame on a wall..please be the judge of this~we have to print it tomorrow~ thanks alot

First one gets my vote as I think the softness looks more intentional - movement related - and the composition feels intimate whereas the second one is a bit more detached 'feeling'. Just my 2p!

I think No.1 - it looks a little more natural than the 2nd.
No idea if he knew these were being taken but the 2nd looks a teeny bit more posed... to my eyes anyway

No 1 for sure in my eyes. I like the softness, and prefer the crop. Your friend is closer to the guitar and makes it more involving for me. I also prefer the line of the guitar's neck leading from the lower corner. Finally, having the right hand in the frame provides more action. More than I meant to say, but....................!
