Bald Eagle

I took this yesterday July 15, 2008.
I had to do some PP because it was just one picture I was able to take before it flew away, (it got scared with my opening my backpack and pulling out my camera) so it was sooooo blurry, but IMO I managed to salvage it.
I had never seen one of these aside from a Wild Animal Park, Its not common at all in this area, I wonder if it got away from a Zoo or an Animal park.

Re: Bald Eagle

Nice to see a shot of one of these where they belong! I'm guessing you needed to up the ISO to get it - hope you don't mind:

Some burn to give a little more definition, saturation, sharpen

Re: Bald Eagle

Nice picture. I saw one of these close up, from about 3 feet away, at an animal rescue thing in Phoenix a couple of years ago, and I never realised how HUGE they are. It was stood ona perch about 18" high and it's eye was on the same level as mine. It had been hit by a truck and couldn't fly, but it was still capable of giving me a look that said "Get any closer and I'll rip your face off!". And no, I didn't have a camera on me.

Re: Bald Eagle

Well done for taking it and well done for the editing. The original is a bit flat and soft but the composition is good with a difficult subject. The editing has brought up the colours and sharpness and makes a really striking shot.

Good work Sotelo and Mark.

Cheers,
Rob

I like this, like how you boosted the colors, and the sharpness eliminated more of the blur.
Good Job Mark. Thanks.

I really had a hard time, because I really wanted to make the shot work, for me it was a once in a lifetime shot, these Eagles are not from this area at all, have no idea how it got here.
