Re: Ballons anyone
I love the colours in the first shot. I am not so sure about the second one because the flame is such a large part of the image and its burnt out. I just wonder whether you could have exposed for the flame and used flash to light the foreground whist letting the sky go dark. Even so its an eye catching picture as it is.

Re: Ballons anyone
Like the composition in the first image, agree with John about the 2nd, the flame is too bright and has burnt out. Was it the Northampton Balloon Festival?

Re: Ballons anyone
Both are excellent, the reprocessed version of the second is a big improvement too.
![]() Balloon burn off's really make excellent photo subjects. |

Re: Ballons anyone
I love the first one and I did a little pimp of it but then realised you haven't got your Edit button showing so I'll respect that and not show it. I just think the right hand balloon should show a little and it does look better when brought up as the yellow curve bands make very pleasant lines.
Good work cpd. Cheers, Rob |

Re: Ballons anyone
Here you go cpd, not a lot done to it, just brought up the blue balloon so that it keeps it in the picture so to speak and doesn't disappear because of the lovely colours of the other balloons. I put a complemntary frame around it to hold it together but frames are a personal taste thing. Some will like it and some won't. It was just lihgtening the blue balloon that I was looking for. See what you think.
