Re: Beach view - another go at elements RAW
I haven't done much here, Nellie...
Straightened the horizon so the sea doesn't drain away. ![]() Brought out the shadow detail a little. Increased saturation - especially in the timber piers which to me are the most important feature. You could do a selective b/w conversion with just the wood remaining coloured. ![]() Any better? ![]() |

Re: Beach view - another go at elements RAW
Hi Silkstone
Yes, it is much better! I am interested in the b/w conversion. The other half thinks there is a tutorial on it in Digital Photo. Ah! and he's just found me the 'Black and White handbook'. Guess what I'm working on next... nellie ![]() |

Yay, but I think the sea is still draining out to the right, and maybe you could lift the shadows a little?

Hey Sonsey
Took on board your suggestions and have actually got around to printing it out - well chuffed! I could get into this b/w business...now, on to the light box again...What a way to spend a Saturday night ![]() Last edited by nelliestew : 10-05-2008 at 21:05. Reason: repetition |
