no its very good! the only thing i would say is that it would have been superb if you cold have got just a teeny bit lower....... still better than anything i have ever managed! super stuff well done

it looks like a fly, very clear and nice focus back through the wings, what I would guess about what you liked about this shot is that the wood around this fly is as good as it gets as it gets light around the bee with the big black eyes,,,I would say if you want comments more often, bring on the questions like you did and put them in the critique.

It's a nice shot but needed a bit of forethought. The wood and bg does nothing for the shot, it's un-natural and conflicts with the bee's colouring. Far better is to get out into the garden where a bee is seen in it's natural habitat. It's not exactly tack sharp and you have lost a wing tip. To enable the type of comments I think you are looking for this ought to have been posted in Photo Critique. As it is in Photo Sharing please ignore all my comments

Thanks guys, i'll take the feedback on board. I agree the wing tip has been lost in the background which is a shame, but i disagree with the natural settings, as this Bee was sunbathing on a bench in a park, which is very natural for them!
 The lower perspective would work better i agree, and i think there shot might have been a little rushed, but i posted it here to get feedback and now i can improve on it! Thanks again.  |
