At first I would have said that cropping the top off the first would have helped the composition but when I looked longer it was fine. I really like the water in the foreground which gives a real impression of smooth flowing water, contrasting with the white of the waterfall. Very good to look at. The second shot's good as well, but the green looks a little unnatural (on my monitor anyway).

First shot is superb. It just goes to show there's no substitute for using a tripod and setting up properly for the shot. It looks like you plonked the tripod in the water there and got your feet wet?

The second shot is OK but the green does look too saturated.

Just checked my files in RawShooter - seems that for the last pic I had moved the saturation slider. Old age + not wearing my specs...

The conditions were great - overcast and without much filtered sun so I could use a long(ish) exposure. Waterproof boots saved the day though!

1 second at f8 I think Ian.

It's a shame you didn't take a second shot with a faster shutter speed to freeze the water although you'd probably have struggled for DOF.
