Boat at low tide

Here is an old shot that I processed a while ago for a mono competition. In the end I didn't use it and as I just stumbled across the shot while I was looking for something else, I thought I would throw it up here for you lot to comment on

Re: Boat at low tide

Ohh err, well it was a while ago so I can't remember exactly now but it involved selecting areas, making them into new layers and then altering them via levels and curves to get the different contrasts where I felt it was most effective. As some of them involved quite a lot of adjustment it introduced more noise than I find acceptable so I did run it through Noiseware professional to clean it up at the final stage.

I am sorry I can't be more helpful gents

I really do like that shot - the range of tones in there is great. It looks very peaceful and calm then there's the contradiction of the menacing black cloud. I'd be pleased to have that shot hanging on my wall
