Those clouds definately have an eery feel about them, love the composition aswell, all those lines but still the image appears clean and uncluttered

I have to say I like this a lot too - a fantastic feel about it ! Clarity in the boats and a great overbearing cloud formation - manipulated much ? Touche ! (without the accent !)

Venomator...I think I added a touche (with the accent)of studio soft light filter which is part of my favourite editing programme called Photobrush.

Lovely. The processing is just right IMO and with the horizon on a vertical third and the boats on a horizontal third the compostion is great too.
It's just that damned mooring rope and the litter lying about, or it would be a real postcard shot. ![]() |

That is a very lovely shot indeed.
One small thing to mention that you may well have dismissed at the time of shooting is the camera postion. If you could have gone a little higher the bow section of the closest boat would have sat under the red deck line of the far boat and give a little more form to both of them. A small point though as the sky and the light are truley breathtaking. D ![]() |

this is what i had in mind, a slightly contrasty look, and its certainly wont be to everyones taste...
![]() at one time this effect was highly overused, but on an image like this i think it works quite well, Obviously this is just my personal preference, most of you wont like it! ![]() |

Marianne, that is a stunning photograph. That sky is phenomenal - so atmospheric. What an eerie light is in this photo - really great!
Love the nice clean, uncluttered lines of this. Excellent work! |
