Cold - wondering what to do - still coming to terms with retirement on a miserable January day when these little chaps arrived. Poor light and hand held thro kitchen window at about 480mm in real money so set 400th at 5.6 and 1600 asa. Gave the old chap something to do and b....eg the grain!

I'm afraid shooting through the kitchen window and low light has spoilt your shots here Fangman.

Now retirement has caught up with you hopefully you will maybe find the time to set the tripod up and grab some cracking shot of these lovely birds outdoors.

That is my idea - but these little fellows make a fleeting visit and move on. I could have had plenty of time to photograph brass monkeys as it was a damp -1 out there. Time and warmer to try and discover more about Photoshop as I have only been using it since it came out in the dark ages. System 5 or 6 on the Mac then and no fancy names. At least I have something to experiment with noise removal. NoiseNinja versus Fred Miranda plug-ins.
