#2 is the best IMO, really cool shot. The others are decent, but the compositions are a little off, not sure how to explain really , and maybe slightly overexposed.

wonderful collection of images. Absolutely a beautiful city. You are lucky that your military will do the dump n burn with those f-111's.

Re: Brisbane Riverfire fireworks

thanks so much for the nice comments for my first photo sharing thread

i didn't quite know what setting would be best to shoot fireworks, for the planes i did a 30sec long exposure shot because i didn't know when the planes coming. just snapped it as soon as i hear them coming

any suggestions to improve in terms of camera settings for fireworks? (next one i think it's new years eve :o)

thanks

Re: Brisbane Riverfire fireworks

Not sure what camera you are using but one trick is to use some black card and just leave your shutter open when fireworks are going off and cover with the card when not.

Re: Brisbane Riverfire fireworks

Always difficult to get the right exposure but it looks as if you're on the right track!

My brother lives in Brisbane - think I even recognise where you're standing!

Queensland museum, I think. My brother's kids dragged me off there - to educate the ignorant Pom! Was good too!
