Broken lamp
New shots of the lamp I did last time after the glass broke, Had lighting problems as Im depending on natural lighting and think I mightve chosen the wrong time, lost most of my shaddows due to that. I couldnt decide wether I should make them mono, thats what I normally prefer, so I put a colour and mono shot in of the one,(2&3) Should I stick to Mono with this shoot or leave them in colour like I've done with some? Tell me what you think, All other comments are welcome.

Re: Broken lamp
Hey, Mule
I like 2 and 5. The first is difficult to decipher. The monos don't work as well as the ones in color for me. 2 is the best, and as I think about it, 3 might work well if you bring out the shadow detail a bit. These do tell a bit of a story. skip |

Re: Broken lamp
I'm with Skip here. Much as I like mono, the colour ones have more detail. I know you like high contrast, but I think it is worth at least trying some shots that will reveal more detail in mono. This might mean a change in setting up and taking the shots or in your processing, but it is worth trying.
Your lighting problems could be solved by using a simple reflector (or reflectors). Anything will do as you can see the result before you take the shot. The high contrast mono can be very effective, but not all subjects suit that type of process.
