Bumble Bee

Now that the summer is getting into full swing, it seems theres an endless supply of Bees, Bugs and creepy crawlies waiting for the intrusive Macro to be thrust in their face!

Re: Bumble Bee

I love the shot HHRC, just needs the bee to be lifted slightly as it's a touch too dark.

Had a little play to produce the shot below. All I did was duplicated the shot to a new layer, used curves to lift the bee while ignoring what else was going on. Then I used a soft brush to erase away the rest of the layer and leave the bee so you have the new bee and the old image if that makes sense.

Good shot, well done.

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Bumble Bee

Thanks Rob, looks really good with the bee a little brighter. Unfortunately I dont really understand all the techniques in photoshop yet so i dont think i would be able to replicate it. I do have a book now and am slowly getting to grips with some of the basics (like boarders!) so hopefully i will get up to this level soon.

Thanks for showing me what can be done though, and thanks for the feedback!

Cheers
Phil
