Re: The Busker
Very nice capture Ray. Only improvement I suggest is in future to include the heads of the people in the background. (or try to wait for a gap in the pedestrian traffic).
Still a nice shot tho |

Re: The Busker
This is an example of where a very wide aperture would help to make the subject stand out better Ray. All your lenses appear to be at least f3.5 so I'd go right down to that and move slightly closer to the subject. As the paved area is fairly deep thee, the BG would be far enough away to see it really blur off and make your busker really stand out.
Best lens for this is the classic nifty fifty (50mm f1.8) as you get such a wide aperture and can blur the BG off really strongly. This lens is one of the cheapest lenses available so might be worth considering when you have some pennies. I am talking £56 (from Onestop Digital who advertise here on Pixalo) and to my mind is a lens I think every dSLR user should own. It's little money but a cracker of a lens. Was he any good at playng that thing? ![]() Cheers, Rob

Re: The Busker
It snowed here all night, the roads were mostly closed down, when I moved around for the day, it was nice and quiet, looking at this scene and doing a little PS was a good way to start the day, Thanks for sharing.
