Cadair Idris Rescue

Those pics by daveyuk reminded me of the following.

Was at Cadair Idris a few weeks ago - a reunion of our Everest Basecamp trekkees from 2 years ago.

Rescue helicopter had to pull someone off the mountain and landed by the lake. Although in the lee of the blustery wind, can recall how much of a flukey downdraught there was down there (as we'd walked up that way).

Usual no messing as you'd expect: in, circle once to get a measure of the winds, land, load and then away

Pic shows Tony - typical Canon user, not a clue! LOL!

And no, not great quality - conditions were against us!

Anyone know how I can display these instead of link them?

That's the lake from " Russia with Love", although Little Nellie has piled on a few pounds
