Calm Before The Storm
I took this on a drive to Buena Vista, Colorado yesterday.
This is the calm before the storm - the second big storm is over Colorado now. I had 3 feet of snow at my house in Evergreen a week a go and they are forecasting another 2-3 feet today. Good thing I love the snow!!!

Re: Calm Before The Storm
That's some view, Moonrider. I think the sky could benefit from a little burning in, but other than that, great.

Re: Calm Before The Storm
Wonderful shot. I agree with burning the sky a bit more.

Re: Calm Before The Storm
We 'Brits' have mountains though we 'English' do not! But then, I have been to Mt Everest as well so THAT is a real mountain
![]() Just kidding, this range shot is a good one. We could do with seeing the beaks against the sky but other than that it is fine. I have a feeling it looks a lot stronger as a big image. Seeing a mountain range in about 9 inches of width doesn't show them off at their best. I find the frame a bit heavy, I think a 75% grey would work better as the black is over-powering and highlighting the fact that the picture itself has a lot of mid-grey tones, flattening it a bit. Glad you have got the snow though Moony, I hate the stuff myself and it's as rare as gnats teeth where I live.... thank goodness! Cheers, Rob
