Fileing thousands of images and meta data infoing them building a library and this one kinda stuck out for some reason, I remember going around the gardens at chatsworth house late summer and saw this one kid playing in the waterfall and so grabbed the shot, no grief off parents or anybody. I think if you feel nervous taking pics of kids then you give off that vibe, as im fairly confident I dont think that I give off the message of bieng a huge perv

Interesting picture there Gary, like the idea. Focus a bit awry but the picture has a certain charm about it.

Yes Gary, but to play devils advocate here, unless you have the parents written permission (release) to photograph and post, there is a potential problem.

No release is needed in law other than where specific copyright is claimed. I don't know what the law is in the US so maybe you are right over there Skip. But in the UK, thankfully we have not yet arrived at the position where we have to get release forms signed all the time. If we intend to sell pictures then it is best to do so but otherwise we are still at liberty.... so far! Obviously, if a person objected to you taking their photo or of their child, common decency and ettiquette says you should agree without hesitation not to publish the picture in any public way be that magazine, internet or wherever. To me that is part of the unwritten code for any photographer. My only point is that a release form is not a legal requirement.
