Chinese temple

Found yesterday a temple near my house in Hong Kong, it was crowded with people, incense smoke and people chanting, quite mystical feeling.

I took many pictures, none of people, just the surrounding, I hope I managed to capture the moment.

Re: Chinese temple

All very good as Fiona has said but for me I like the abstract qualities of 3 and 4

Re: Chinese temple

Good job. As someone said, you posted what I think is your weakest image on the critique board. Except for #2, these are all very good.

Would it be inappropriate to get some of the people in the shots too? Probably.

Re: Chinese temple

Thanks for showing more of these, they are an interesting set. i particularly like number 3, an excellent abstract shot. I also like the last one, with the minor croticism that I'd have preferred the whole ticket to be showing. But that's not that important. Great bunch, well done :o)

Cheers,
Rob

Re: Chinese temple

I really like these. Are #1 and #6 the same shot? I also think #2 is the weakest.

Re: Chinese temple

Thanks guys,

It was worth going there the second time.

I did attach same picture twice, the 6th should have be the following, I hope you like it as well.

Re: Chinese temple

yes, I do like this one too. Only thing is I find the light from the central lantern a little distracting.

I scrolled the picture in my browser window to crop it out, and I think it was a bit better. What do you think?

If this light is not in the shot, the small white dot to the right and the details to the right hand side edge need to be cloned.

Re: Chinese temple

well.......I need to close my weekend which I enjoyed a lot, its mid night here, I spent several hours in Chinese temple (I still smell of the incense, or its only my imagination) but just got back from amazing Jazz performance, to read your guys comments.

Thanks for the time you took to look and comment.

Enjoy the remains of your weekend, I enjoyed mine.

Re: Chinese temple

Great shots, I especially like the 4th and the last shot, can't really explain why.
