hehe, thanks guys, the effect is accident, not design. I noticed it in one of those collapsable basket things and just tried to get a shot. When I saw the first one I tried it agaainst the blue and green walls as well, the blue looks terrible.

Shudder. First two are cracking - the colouring works very well as does the great bokeh.

I prefer the shot against the green background.
It helps bring out the spider from the background.

The spider gets lost a bit against the red.
