Corner Shop
Did this conversion to try to get an old feel to the image, in spite of the alarm box on the wall and the hydrant marker by the bike!. I think it has worked up to a point, but the corner of the building above the shop had a figure looking over the street and I think it should have been included in this shot. As it is, only the 'support' is visible as a white block on the corner. In the colour version it is not so much of a problem.

Re: Corner Shop
I like this one Graham. There is enough of interest in the store front that one really does not notice the alarm box or the white block above the corner.
The street, the curb, the scrapped up paint on the lower wall, even the bike all add to the look and feel of this shot. - Paul |

Re: Corner Shop
Nice treatment, it's very difficult to get a new shot to look old, there's always some giveaways. This works pretty well and like Paul I hadn't noticed the alarm box. The Hydrant marker does stand out a bit though.
Nevertheless a good treatment. cheers Dan |

Re: Corner Shop
Picture works for me Graham,
I've noticed that semitrical pictures are like a passion to you, you must have some engineering in your background. You certainly bring up some very interesting topics, keep up the good work.

Re: Corner Shop
Thanks for the kind words.
I guess I ought to have cloned out the double yellow lines too! (These are kerbside markers for parking restictions for our US friends). Boofers - I have no formal engineering qualifications, but I have some engineering in my soul. My heros are the victorian engineers like Brunel, and I've been a petrolhead from a very easly age, as my Dad was a mechanic. |
