Re: Cornwall
Be great to see bigger versions but they all 4 look to be well composed, well exposed.
#1 works well because of the various lines from sea, footprints, rougher sand all leading to the cloud on the horizon meeting the land. #2 kind of reminds me of the scene from Jason and the Argonauts when they wake Talos. A wide tonal range captured, detail discernible in shadows and highlights alike. My favourite of the 4. #3 just needs a *slightly* greater depth of field as it looks like even the very edge of the bud isn't quite sharp. Very difficult to say if this is true at that size though. #4 Is a fine and bright photograph. I like the family on the far left there. Perhaps shave a wee bit off sand? good stuff. |

Re: Cornwall
Not overly keen on the huge black borders sawdust, but a nice set here.
#1 Very nice. I like the compo - very nicely balanced - although it looks to me like it could do with a slight clockwise rotation. Exposure looks good + I like the reflection. I like the detail in the sand. Like this a lot. #2 Again lovely compo + exposure. I find the bit of plain sky at the top a bit distracting + would be tempted to clone in more clouds over it (+ over the dust bunny ) If you scroll to cut out that bit of sky you'll see what I mean, the whole tone of the image changes dramatically + somehow makes it brighter + more contrasty w/o that bit of 'blue' (?) sky. (I don't think cropping would work here tho'.) Also rotate clockwise a bit?#3 I'm jealous, always wanted to go to Eden Project! At this size, difficult to see properly, but looks like it could do with being a bit sharper in the centre, although I do like the soft focus effect around the edges of the plant, + a bit more saturation as it blends in with the BG colour a bit, i.e. doesn't stand out very well. #4 Technically the pano looks ok, with excellent colour + exposure. A bit too much uninteresting sand, would've preferred to see more of the interesting clouds + sky, e.g. by putting the cliffs on the bottom third. Overall, very nice set + I particularly like the mono's PS I know this is Sharing, not Critique, so forgive me if I'm wrong in the assumption you don't mind in-depth comments here ![]()

Re: Cornwall
Nice set Saw. That last one bothers me a bit - the people(?) on the rhs are just too small to be readily identifiable - they really don't add anything to the shot and at worst are a distraction. Great sky in all the shots and kind of like the dramatic framing you chose.

Re: Cornwall
thanks all no charlotte comments always welcome (how can I improve ) the pano was just a idea at the time I was told there was a program in CS3 that did the job so just grabed a shot, as for the dust bunnies I think i'm rid of them now had my mate blow them out. as you can see there are comments that like the frames and some don't some like the family in the pano some don't . must try to put a great white shark in the sea
