Cosmeston Morning 2

As promised, the 2nd set of shots from Cosmeston

#1 Orchid In Natural Setting
Not sure if this works, but Common Spotted Orchid with oof thorn

#2 Love
Managed to snag this one, handheld - went for tripod and they had eloped upon my return!

#3 Orchids, Daisies & Buttercups
Processed this to highlight flowers and patch of pond - maybe not to everyone's taste?

#4 Passing Emperor
Dragonflies were there but temps were well up so they were not hanging around!

#5 Backlit Dog Rose
Just a standard shot of a wild rose - with black beetle!

Comments - good, bad or indifferent, all welcome

Might post some other shots from Cosmeston tomorrow

Re: Cosmeston Morning 2

Many thanks for the comments, everyone! Much appreciated!

The in-flight shots were taken with my 70-300mm @ 300mm - like most of my shots, full frame. Trick is to watch their path and prefocus (obviously needs to be on manual) and be ready for last minute small changes. Keep meaning to use a flash fill to give a little more wing definition
