A couple of child portraits

I don’t often post child pictures as I have no children myself and don’t often get the chance to photograph them as subjects however a week or so ago we where visiting close friends and had a lovely day out with them and their children.

Here are two simple shots from that day, I hope you like them

Re: A couple of child portraits

beautiful images both of them, i particularly like the way u have used selective colouring to keep a hint of bllue in the young mans eyes!
the sunlights on the hair in the second picture makes it for me!
lovely and two i am sure their parents would be proud to have on their walls!

It never fails to amaze me how women can tell if a very young child or baby is a boy or a girl!! How do you do it

Re: A couple of child portraits

The second shot is a competition winner. It's just my personal taste but Im not too keen on the selective colouring on this particular shot, other than that they are both great

It's easy, don't be silly! If it has blue eyes it's a boy, if it has pink eyes it's a girl!

.... or should that be booties?

Re: A couple of child portraits

Sorry, in being my corny self I forgot to post what I thought of the pictures; great work. Love the second one the rim light around the head works beautifully well. I like the blue eyes but think they are a tad too strong. Maybe back them off slightly to stop him seeming a little alient like would make it work even better.

Love the work though, nice one..,.. or two!

Cheers,
Rob
