Couple More Macro Shots
Some more shots from the garden
#1 Green Beetle  #2 UFO Thought this intriguing - it was on the underside of a leaf. Think it's the eggcase of something (now empty, judging from the exit hole)  #3 Spiny Spider Was on a teasel. I liked the contrast of spikes to web  #4 A Spider - Honest! Saw the morning sun backlighting the Honesty and the spider shadow next to the web  #5 Hoverfly Tried to capture the hoverfly landing but couldn't quite get the perfect combo of DOF and shutter speed (to get all in focus and not too much movement)  Comments, good, bad or indifferent very welcome!

First couple could be a touch sharper, good subjects though. Love the colours in #4 and #5.

Great shots, 4 is nice, 5 is my favourite, even though it's not perfect, I can see how cool it would have been had it worked

#4 for me too, the colours and composition are superb - although I am quite fascinated by the UFO!

Beautiful colour in #4 and I did spot the spider. Like #5 as well, the detail in the flower is great and if the hover fly was perfect, it would have been a real winning shot, but they are so difficult to shoot.
#2 is interesting as well, it really does look like a mini ufo. |
