Crete continued (8)
Here are the rest of the shots
![]() I know you wont like some of them, but I still want an honest opinion, and go into as much depth as you feel is necessary ![]() ![]() ![]() Ok, now this has an interesting story. I honestly didn't mean to poke the fly through the head with a toothpick, but it happened, so I took advantage of the opportunity (it did actually stay alive after I removed it, but couldn't fly, so we put it to rest...) ![]() It was very small....that is a salt shaker. ![]() Shame about the mat on which the cat sat.... ![]() Silhouette ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking Jack M

Re: Crete continued (8)
I'll follow the trend a go for #1 and 2, but I also like the G/F (?) shot #7, but I think it would have worked better if you both took a step or two to the left and put her in the centre of the rocks and put a little distance between her and the rock. The off-centre compostion is good though
I'm more interested in what you were eating to be able to get the fly on the toothpick ![]() |

Re: Crete continued (8)
ROFL, you 'accidentally' stabbed a fly through his brain with a toothpick and then were surprised it could no longer fly! The size of that fly, the toothpick would be the equivalent of someone getting a vastly oversized javelin rammed through their skull
![]() Some enjoyable shots though Jack. Looks like you had a good holiday. We have con-Crete evidence to prove it!.... ....ok, I'm going, no need to push! ![]() Cheers, Rob |

)To do with the shot, it was rather a spur of the moment affair, and she didn't know I took it; actually she was in the way , so I decided to turn it to me advantage ![]() IIRC, I was just playing with the toothpick, and stabbed at the fly, expected it to fly away until I found it impaled....had to rush back to the apartment to get the camera + tamron ![]() Quote:
![]() And as for that last, er, what do you think they are again? oh, joke, I think, Rob, you need help..... ![]() |

I really like the last one, I can imagine it would look good printed large.

Re: Crete continued (8)
#1 Nicely comp'd tho' think I'd like more sky (don't make excuses - lie flat in the waves!
)#2 Interesting. Can see all kinds of possible shots in addition - did you take more? Good B/W candidate, I reckon #3 Can't get passed the burned highlights, I'm afraid #4/5 You're a sick puppy! (just pleased it's not just me that does this kind of thing!) #6 Awww! Love that expression! #7 Like the fact that GRRRRR silhouette is blocking the sun - and nicely turned to your advantage! #8 As cloud formations go, damn fine! As a pic, not too shabby - and some nice rays! ![]()

Re: Crete continued (8)
TBH - I think the tones of the sand and the wood are too close for the mono to work. Even in the colour shot they are close, but it does stand up in this one. How about a selective colour?
