CnC welcome as always and forgive the quality of the heron in flight but the full res one is a lot better!

I can never get close enough to herons, seen loads but when I try to get close they fly off

Really like your second shot and also the 3rd b/w bridge...very nice.

i havent a clue but during the walk we saw three herons...... and all of them were posers! i think it may be because they are city birds, these photos were all shot right in the centre of Edinburgh, so they are probably well used to people about.

I love the bridge shot. Would like to see the original colour version to see what it looked like before, but it does work very well as a B&W.
