A day at the sea front (56k warning)
Well it was a beautiful day and I'd nothing to do so I grabbed the camera and took a dander down to the sea front, while there I just had a good time shooting whatever caught my eye, trying things I dont normally try (a couple of abstract attempts etc) with some working and others not and basicly having a relaxing time enjoying photography
So here's a few shots from the day, some work for me, with some the processing could be better, and some just arn't up to par for me... I'd appreciate comments on all the pics good and bad, and feel free to edit whatever you like

Re: A day at the sea front (56k,
Looks like you had nice time out shooting there. Some good detail in those shots. You must be happy with the lens ?
Really like the bird shots & that 2nd bike shot looks something straight out of a Motorbike Ad, so well done Hey some Monos ....aw shucks you shouldn't have

Re: A day at the sea front (56k,
Yes mate it was a great day, worries were put aside and I just enjoyed the time to myself.
The lens is a cracker, it fit's my style of shooting very well, and as such, has hardly been off the camera As for the mono's, they arn't the best, but your welcome lol

Re: A day at the sea front (56k warning)
Well you know I would like it
. For me the difference is in the colour shot the power of the orange & blue keep taking your eye away from the detail on the bike, such as the engine, disc brakes etc. Now in Mono your eye flows easier over the whole picture so you take these details in.This is not to say the Mono is a better shot than the colour, but just to show the way the mind works between the two...... well mine at least ![]() Do others agree or do I need a scan

Re: A day at the sea front (56k warning)
I quite like that Harley one - in both B&W and colour.

Re: A day at the sea front (56k warning)
For me the Harley one is the strongest of the shots and I do prefer the colour shot as the mix of the red against the blue is quite strong. Its wonderfully exposed but the red is just a touch over saturated and is almost glowing. I would back that down just a tad and it would be a great shot. The Black and white version also works very well
