Devon - Part I (56k warning)
We got back Friday night from a week in Devon staying at a place just outside Exmouth. I'd like to say we had a good time but our 'site' was the pits, it was a Haven holiday (now re-named Chaven) and the place was all football shirts, tattoos and chip fat - and that was just the women.
 Fortunately the weather gods were smiling on us as we had glorious sunshine for most of the week which gave us ample opportunity to get out and about. The first day we visited the Donkey Sanctuary just outside Devon where they are currently looking after about 380 donkeys. The boys ended up adopting one which is used for riding for the disabled.  Shall I have a snooze here....  Or like this....  From there it was onto the Wiscombe Park Hillclimb which we came across almost by accident. There were some very quick cars there and metering was a nightmare as most of the track was in deep shade from the tree canopy.  This guy in the Porsche was very quick:  This 'Mini' was even quicker....  And as for this Puma, carbon fibre throughout and 600bhp!   More to follow later!

Donkeys are cute........but why are all those shots of the cars reversed? - the drivers are all on the wrong side of the car

 just got back from a haven site in cornwall and you are right how many times must I tell the wife to dress properly never mind some cracking shots |

Glad you had the weather though Colin. Ooooh that RS Porche looks nice  How you getting on with that 70-200 VR by the way ?? |

Those donkeys are smashing.
I've always had a soft spot for donkeys. There used to be a pair where I kept the horses, right characters but little b*ggers for escaping and going on adventures round the local countryside. Last edited by Ali : 06-08-2007 at 11:45. Reason: Rubbish spelling |
